"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is a song recorded by American recording artist Taylor Swift. It was written by Swift with Max Martin and Shellback. Production was handled by Martin and Shellback, with Scott Borchetta serving as executive producer.
It was released as the lead single from Swift's fourth studio album Red (2012) on August 13, 2012 by Big Machine Records."We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is a pop and bubblegum pop song while the lyrics depict Swift's frustration at an ex-lover who wants to re-kindle their relationship.
The songwriters wrote the song after Swift's ex-boyfriend's friend spoke of rumors he heard that Swift and her former boyfriend were reuniting. The song received mixed reviews from music critics; some praised the catchy, radio-friendly hook while others felt the song lacked the thoughtfulness of Swift's previous, more guitar-based work. The song was an instant commercial success.
It is the first song in Swift's career to peak at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and the first song to hold the top spot for more than one week after a huge leap, since Kelly Clarkson's two-week run of "My Life Would Suck Without You" after the song rocketed from number 97 to the top spot.
A music video for the song was released in August 2012. It was the first music video to be presented in 4K resolution and received positive reviews from critics. A CD single was released in September 2012 by Swift's official store, Amazon.com and US Walmart stores.
As the song continued to gain popularity, a few prominent figures outside of the sports and entertainment industry appeared in various notable "Gangnam Style" parodies, such as the civil rights activist John Lewis, the Chinese dissident Ai Weiwei, the mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat, the American political philosopher Noam Chomsky, and Inri Cristo, a self-proclaimed reincarnation of Jesus Christ.
"Free Bird" (often spelled "Freebird", including by the band itself on the cover of the single) is a song by the American southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. It first featured on the band's debut album in 1973, and has been included on subsequent albums released by the band, including the previously unreleased, unfaded-ending version of the original recording (featured on Skynyrd's Innyrds). Amazon.com music reviewer Lorry Fleming calls it "the most-requested song in the history of rock music."
Released as a single in November 1974, "Free Bird" became the band's second Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in early 1975, where it peaked at No. 19. A live version of the song also reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1977, peaking at No. 38. Free Bird also achieved the No. 3 spot on Guitar World's 100 Greatest Guitar Solos.
It is used as a finale by Lynyrd Skynyrd during their live performances, and is their longest song, often going well over 14 minutes when played live.
The lyrical portion of the song was written early in the group's history. Roadie Billy Powell was discovered as a keyboardist for the band when he played the intro piece to "Free Bird" at a high school prom. Lead vocalist Ronnie Van Zant noted his talent and invited him to join.
Allen Collins's then-girlfriend, Kathy, whom he later married, asked him, "If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me?" Collins noted the question and it eventually became the opening line of "Free Bird"

"Diamonds" is a song recorded by Barbadian recording artist Rihanna for her upcoming seventh studio album Unapologetic (2012). It was written by Sia Furler in collaboration with Benjamin "Benny Blanco" Levin, Mikkel S. Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen. It was produced by Blanco, as well as Eriksen and Hermansen under their production name StarGate. "Diamonds" premiered on September 26, 2012, during the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show and it was released the following day. Def Jam Recordings solicited the single to contemporary hit radio in the United States on October 2. "Diamonds" is a mid-tempo pop ballad with influences of electronic and soul music. The song is a departure from themes of "unhealthy relationships" that are evident in Rihanna's previous singles.
Critical reception for "Diamonds" was generally mixed; some reviewers complimented Rihanna's different musical direction, while others criticized its production. "Diamonds" peaked at number one in Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, Norway, Scotland, South Africa and the United Kingdom, and reached top-ten positions in nineteen other countries, including Australia, Canada, Italy, New Zealand and Spain. The song reached number five on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

"Shimmer" is Fuel's first single from their album Sunburn. It was released on August 25, 1998. Written by guitarist/songwriter Carl Bell, the single peaked at #2 on the Billboard Alternative Song Charts and at #42 on the Billboard Hot 100.
This song is known for having a couple of verses each followed by a short chorus for the first minute and 30 seconds, then leading into a series of six verses sung "It's too far away for me to hold, too far away" with a short instrumental break coming in between the second and third of these "Too far away" verses. The last line in the song is then sung "Guess I'll let it go".

FUTULELE is an upcoming Ukulele synthesizer for iOS. Although it can work on a single iPad, similar to our well-known guitar synth OMGuitar (http://amidio.com/omguitar), Futulele really shines with a special guitar-shaped case that holds both an iPad and an iPhone, which are connected to each other via Bluetooth. iPhone is used to define the chords and iPad is used for strumming.
We have managed to reduce the chord switch lag to a minimum level and capture every little nuance of a high-grade professional Ukulele instrument. You can use up to 12 chords for each song, and change chord sets on the fly. Full recording and sharing possibilities come straight from OMGuitar, as well as the effects section.
We are currently looking for manufacturers who are willing to produce Futulele cases, preferrably with embedded speakers. Please contact us if you have any ideas! www.amidio.com

Flying robot quadrotors perform the James Bond Theme by playing various instruments including the keyboard, drums and maracas, a cymbal, and the debut of an adapted guitar built from a couch frame. The quadrotors play this "couch guitar" by flying over guitar strings stretched across a couch frame; plucking the strings with a stiff wire attached to the base of the quadrotor. A special microphone attached to the frame records the notes made by the "couch guitar".
These flying quadrotors are completely autonomous, meaning humans are not controlling them; rather they are controlled by a computer programed with instructions to play the instruments.

This is my cover of the Chaka Khan dancefloor classic from 1982. When I was a kid, I played gigs in pubs in Blackpool, and often my audience was mostly elderly ladies spending their pension money on bacardi! Quite often they'd tolerate my original songs and blues covers for only so long, and eventually a representative would be sent over to remonstrate with me. "Excuse me young man, please can you play something we can dance to?" So this is my emergency disco song.
The new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they'd play the right note no matter where they were struck. For more information and behind-the-scenes footage, see http://www.LetsDoThis.com and http://www.okgo.net. Many thanks to Chevy for believing in and supporting such an insane and ambitious project, and to Gretsch for providing the guitars and amps.

The iStomp works like every other stompbox. Step on the footswitch to turn it on and off. Adjust the knobs to dial-in the sound you want. The biggest difference between the iStomp and other stompboxes is you can completely change the iStomp to any pedal in the entire pedal line. Simply connect your iPod touch®, iPhone®, or iPad® and choose a pedal to load to your iStomp. In about the same time it takes to download a song you can turn the iStomp from a distortion to a reverb, a phaser to an overdrive, or a delay to a chorus.
iStomp includes two free pedal downloads ¬- DigiTech's Total Recall™ digital delay and Redline™ overdrive to get you started.
